From June 3 to 5, 2025, the National Congress of Brazil will host the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum<\/a>, bringing together lawmakers from member countries and partner nations in Bras\u00edlia.<\/p>\n

The current composition of the BRICS+ includes 11 member states: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Indonesia and Iran. Nine partner countries will also participate: Belarus, Bolivia, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand, Uganda and Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n

The BRICS Parliamentary Forum is an initiative that strengthens cooperation among member state parliaments by promoting political dialogue, legislative exchange and the development of a common agenda focused on sustainable development, social justice and global governance<\/p>\n

The forum will address challenges shared by the participating countries, including:<\/p>\n

    As part of the official program, two high-level side events will take place on June 3:<\/p>\n

    • The second Meeting of Foreign Affairs Committee Chairs of BRICS Parliaments, aimed at reinforcing political and diplomatic alignment among legislative bodies<\/li>\n
    • The second BRICS Women Parliamentarians Forum, which seeks to increase women’s representation in politics and in the bloc\u2019s decision-making processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
