Serpro is a reference with Gov.br.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>From July 26 to 28, Serpro (Federal Data Processing Service) attended the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldaic.com.cn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Artificial Intelligence Conference &#8211; WAIC 2025 <\/a>in Shanghai. As the technological arm of the Brazilian state, the company highlighted its leadership in developing large-scale public digital solutions, as reported by <a href=\"http:\/\/portuguese.xinhuanet.com\/20250801\/e574746715a84cdda449590685f78062\/c.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Xinhua<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>\u201cInternational AI City\u201d Panel: the Brazilian model becomes a reference<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>During the smart cities forum, Andr\u00e9 Agatte, Serpro&#8217;s Director of Business, Government and Markets, gave a presentation on \u201c<strong>Public AI at national scale: Gov.br and the future of citizen service with security and intelligence<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The executive highlighted Brazil as a reference in digital transformation grounded in public values, with a focus on scalable, secure and citizen-oriented solutions. As a result, Brazil was cited as a case study in ethical and inclusive AI.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>&#8220;Win-Win BRICS\u201d Forum: a network with Brazilian DNA is born<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>At the heart of global cooperation during the \u201cWin-Win BRICS\u201d forum \u2014 part of WAIC 2025 \u2014 representatives from several countries and international organizations, including Serpro, came together to discuss collaboration in artificial intelligence. On that occasion, the <strong>BRICS AI Industry Cooperation Network was launched.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><strong>Strategic goals of the network:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd17 Align technical standards among emerging nations<br \/>\n\ud83d\udcac Promote dialogue on AI public policies<br \/>\n\ud83e\udd1d Develop joint digital infrastructure projects<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Digital sovereignty: Brazil\u2019s visionary proposal<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Serpro also contributed to building a structural agenda aimed at BRICS countries. During the event, Rafael Ferreira, Serpro\u2019s Internationalization Manager, delivered the talk \u201c<strong>Interoperability for Digital Sovereignty: a BRICS+ vision for shared public infrastructure.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Representing Serpro in the BRICS technical group, Ferreira emphasized that the main challenge is not imposing a single standard, but rather connecting different national realities through scalable, ethical and inclusive solutions aligned with the values of the Global South.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Brazilian leadership and internationalization<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Serpro\u2019s participation in WAIC 2025 aligns with the company\u2019s strategy to expand its international presence, reinforce Brazil\u2019s leadership in AI-based public solutions and consolidate its role as the operator of the Brazilian state&#8217;s digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Serpro\u2019s presence at WAIC 2025 strengthens three key missions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Expand Brazil\u2019s international presence in public AI<\/li>\n<li>Consolidate leadership in AI-based government solutions<\/li>\n<li>Operate the state\u2019s digital infrastructure with sovereignty<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>&#8220;Nationwide digital transformation requires speed, sovereignty and international technical cooperation. The event also drew a record in-person audience of 180,000 visitors, not including virtual participants.
