Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the conference and deliver the keynote address.<\/p>\n<p>Under the theme \u201cIntelligent Partners, Co-Creating the Future,\u201d WAIC 2026 will demonstrate that AI has become real \u2014 present in factories, hospitals, streets, and everyday life.<\/p>\n<p>The event is expected to surpass last year\u2019s <strong>record attendance<\/strong> of about 350,000 people. It will also feature approximately 1,400 guests (including experts, officials and executives) and 1,100 exhibiting companies.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Trends: what will dominate the debates<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>WAIC 2026 will show the world how China is advancing on each of these fronts. It also includes an action plan with eight pillars covering accessible computing, open technologies and security governance.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, the event will host the <strong>High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance<\/strong>, with dozens of countries and international organizations confirmed to participate.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Nine Nobel and Turing laureates confirmed<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>WAIC 2026 has already confirmed nine Nobel and Turing laureates, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Richard Sutton \u2014 known as the \u201cfather of reinforcement learning\u201d (the technique that lets AI learn by trial and error, like humans) \u2014 will deliver a keynote address.<\/li>\n<li>Yoshua Bengio \u2014 one of the leading figures in deep learning (the technology inspired by how the human brain works).<\/li>\n<li>Gilles Brassard \u2014 2025 Turing Award winner.<\/li>\n<li>Omar M.
