The BRICS Business Forum 2025 — taking place this Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Rio de Janeiro — is set to be the year’s largest multilateral economic gathering.
Bringing together international official delegations as well as prominent political, business, and multinational leaders, the event will serve as a platform for strategic discussions on sustainability, energy transition, digital innovation and economic cooperation.
The forum will host BRICS country delegations made up of senior representatives from the Ministries of Economy, Industry, Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Organized by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), in partnership with the BRICS Business Council (CEBRICS) and with support from the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), the event precedes the BRICS Heads of State Summit, which will also take place in Rio de Janeiro in the days that follow.
Confirmed Brazilian and multinational companies
With the confirmed presence of industrial and technology giants, the event will feature active participation from major Brazilian companies, including:
- Embraer, which chairs the BRICS Business Council in this edition, represented by its CEO Francisco Gomes Neto
- WEG, a global reference in electric technology and decarbonization
- Vale, playing a central role in sustainable mining
- Petrobras, engaging in discussions on energy security and the green transition
- Marfrig and BRF, contributing to debates on food security and global trade
Among confirmed international multinationals are:
- Huawei (China) and Infosys (India) – leaders in digital transformation
- ChemChina, focused on chemical solutions for sustainable agriculture
- Tata Group, Rosneft and Gazprom, addressing mobility, energy and infrastructure

Sustainable Development and ESG: discussions will prioritize green value chains, circular economy, carbon neutrality and investment in projects with positive environmental impact.
Energy transition and security: Petrobras, Rosneft, Gazprom and WEG will debate new energy sources, industrial efficiency and financing for the energy transition.
Technological innovation and digitalization: Embraer, Huawei and Infosys will present case studies on urban air mobility, digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence in industry.
