The second edition of the BRICS Forum will take place in Brasília from September 15 to 17, 2025, under the theme “Traditional Values: Uniting Traditions, Strengthening Nations.” The event is organized by the BRICS Parliamentary Front in partnership with the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance and the World Association on Traditional Values (WATV), aiming to promote cultural diplomacy and generate practical proposals for sustainable development.
The first edition, held in Moscow in 2024, laid the groundwork for bringing together cultural traditions and fostering international cooperation. In Brasília, the focus will be on turning these principles into concrete actions, connecting culture, health and technology to current social and environmental needs.
The forum will feature speakers from Brazil, Russia, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Canada and France, highlighting its global character and including voices from continents beyond the BRICS member countries.
Program and key activities
The official agenda includes roundtables, thematic panels and the launch of innovative initiatives, with highlights such as:
- Financial Sovereignty and Innovation: in-depth analysis of blockchain, digital currencies and new entrepreneurship models, focusing on financial solutions that strengthen cooperation among member countries.
- Sustainability and Climate Action: joint BRICS proposals for COP30, focused on environmental preservation, renewable energy and addressing global climate challenges.
- Humanitarian and Cultural Cooperation: launch of the “Volunteers for Peace” platform for humanitarian projects and discussion of visa-free tourism to deepen economic and cultural exchange.
- Education and Leadership for the Future: debates on best educational practices to train the next generation of global leaders.
- Health and Well-Being: connecting quality of life and longevity with effective preventive health policies.
- Cultural Valorization: celebrating dialogue between traditions through literary, artistic and intellectual exchange, including the BRICS Literary Award.
